K. Anders Ericsson, Ph.D., Conradi Eminent Scholar and Professor of Psychology
Dr. Ericsson is presently Conradi Eminent Scholar and Professor of Psychology at Florida State University. After his Ph. D. in Psychology from University of Stockholm, Sweden, he collaborated with Herbert Simon at Carnegie-Mellon University on verbal reports of thinking. Currently he studies the cognitive structure of expert performance in domains such as music, chess and sports, and how expert performers attain their superior performance by acquiring complex cognitive mechanisms and physiological adaptations through extended deliberate practice.

Kevin R. Harris, Ph.D., Assistant In Research
Dr. Harris completed his doctorate in Cognitive Psychology at Florida State University under the direction of K. Anders Ericsson. He received his M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Mississippi State University. His interests include the study of expert performance and deliberate practice. More specifically, Kevin is interested in the cognitive factors underlying professional/occupational/academic performance and the underlying mechanisms allowing for potential performance enhancement. Kevin is currently serving as the project manager for a project funded by the Florida Department of Education investigating the cognitive differences between high- and low-performers on science-related AP exams.
