KCRG at the Coast Guard's Human Performance Technology Workshop | 2005.09.07
Slide presentation (ppt)
Ian Douglas and Judd Butler attended the Coast Guard's annual Human Performance Technology
Workshop September 7-9, 2005 in Williamsburg, Virginia and presented a workshop entitled
Performance-Centered Knowledge Management. The session focused on Performance-Centered
Knowledge Management (PCKM) as a missing link between human performance improvement and
knowledge management. They showed how PCKM processes differ from traditional knowledge
management and how they can dovetail with performance improvement processes. This
combination can be used to mitigate the traditional communication silos that exist in large
organizations. The conference also provided an opportunity to demonstrate these principles
in action, from an analyst's perspective and from a performer's perspective, using the
Net-PI prototype.
