LSI Programming Proved Invaluable For National Education Leader In The Philippines

Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, an alumnus of Florida State University's Learning Systems Institute (LSI) Community College Administrators Program (CCAP) and was a visiting Fulbright Scholar at LSI, has been sworn in as the new special adviser for Local Colleges and Universities by the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines.

The Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University was honored with the Multilingual Education Leadership Award at a ceremony in Nigeria this morning. The University of Maiduguri Language Centre presented the award in collaboration with UNICEF.

Egyptian Fellows From USAID Teacher Excellence Initiative Complete Fall Semester At FSU

This past semester, FSU hosted four fellows from Egypt as part of its work on the Initiative. Eman Abodahab, Zainab Elsallamy, Shimaa Ghobashi, and Hadya Soliman spent three months in Tallahassee, delving into the academic environment at FSU, expanding their knowledge, and participating in graduate-level courses.

The Learning Systems Institute has been a partner with the Education Development Center working on the United States Agency for International Development on the Higher Education Capacity Development Program since 2019. The program has been extended through August 31, 2025.

During year three of STEP Malawi, 6,644 books, including 5,808 National Reading Program teacher’s guides and learner books in English and Chichewa for Standards 1-4, were delivered to all primary Teacher Training Institutions (TTI).
